Ilyas builds the machinery underneath internal developer platforms. His work sits where Go, Kubernetes controllers, and GitOps meet: writing the CRDs that give developers a declarative contract, then making sure the promotion path behind that contract is safe to run.

On Klastro he wrote the controllers managing the Assessment, Scenario, and Session lifecycles, with protobuf-first backend contracts exposed through gRPC, gRPC-Gateway REST endpoints, and generated OpenAPI. On EKP he engineered multi-cloud cluster management patterns, tenant CRDs, and cluster bootstrap workflows.

At Renault he works inside the GKE as a Service programme on controllers, CRD design, and the self-service tooling for multi-tenant platform operations, and helps product teams adopt GitOps at scale with ArgoCD and Kargo. He is a Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect and holds the CNCF KCNA.

    Built a monitoring solution for database backup systems: an ELK stack on Docker Compose, Logstash pipelines and Kibana dashboards for SLI tracking, and machine-learning anomaly detection that caught abnormal database growth in production. Contributed the fix upstream to the Elasticsearch Outlook connector.
